Rules and How to Enter the Summer Scary Story Contest
Rules:
- Only 1 entry per person
- Submitted story must be original content
- Story content must be appropriate for a wide audience
- Cannot exceed 5 pages, single-sided
- Typed submissions must be in Times New Roman, font size 12
- We will accept handwritten submissions, but make sure the handwriting is legible
- Pictures are OK to include in your story, but not necessary
How to enter:
- Please read the rules, before submitting your work. Stories that do not follow contest rules will be disqualified.
- Bring your story to the library; we do not take emailed submissions
- Hand it to a staff member at one of the circulation desks
- Fill out a submission card and release form for the staff to paper clip it to your story
- Winners will be contacted by Monday, August 8
- All winners must fill out a release form in order for their story to be posted on our website
- Those who are younger than 18 need to have a parent or guardian to sign the release form
