Financial Assistance

For some customers, including seniors on fixed incomes, energy expenses can be a financial burden. In fact, there are those right here in our community who cannot afford the energy to meet their basic needs.

For those who cannot afford such an expense, this can lead to difficult decisions about how to allocate their limited resources. Fortunately there are several programs designed to help.

  • If you believe you or someone you know may qualify, we encourage you to establish your income eligibility through the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP). To learn more about the WHEAP application process, customers should contact Energy Services Inc in person at 2108 Kohler Memorial Dr, Suite 220, Sheboygan, WI 53081, by phone at 920-287-7800 or 800-506-5596 or apply online using the link below. If approved for WHEAP, you will receive more information about your eligibility for our Energy Assistance Program at that time.  A downloadable PDF is available below.
  • Wisconsin Help for Homeowners can help with utilities as well as other overdue bills.  The program is available online at homeownerhelp.wi.gov, or through the link below.
  • Our local Energy Assistance Program is designed to help income-qualifying households and families cover their energy costs and reduce the financial burden that they face, and is funded with the portion of Commitment to Community dollars specifically set aside for the program.  Application is through the WHEAP program.  If you qualify for home heating assistance, you automatically qualify for our program.
