Motor Patrol

The Plymouth Police Department Motorcycle Patrol Unit has been in operation since the summer of 2000 through a program offered by Harley Davidson Motorcycles. The Police Department receives its motorcycle from Suburban Harley Davidson of Thiensville, WI.

The Motorcycle patrol is a supplement to the squad car. It is used for public relations events, such as parades, and assumes the role of traditional patrol with the motor officers responding to calls and carrying out traffic enforcement responsibilities. We are currently operating a 2013 Harley Davidson Electra Glide/Police Edition. All Motor Officers assigned to the unit attend motorcycle training before they can assume patrol duties with the cycle and receive refresher course training updates each year.
