K-9 Frey

In June 2022 the Plymouth Police Department acquired K-9 Frey. Frey is a German Shepherd, born in Germany and brought to the United States in March of 2022. K-9 Frey is partnered with Lieutenant Primising, an 8 year veteran in law enforcement, with the last 5 being in the City of Plymouth. Lt. Primising currently supervises second shift patrol, is an FTO (field training officer), evidence technician, and property room manager.

K-9 Frey and Lt. Primising train through Steinig Tal Kennels in Campbellsport, WI. They completed an intensive 4 week long K9 handler course under the direction of Larry Filo. Frey is trained to detect the odors of narcotics (cocaine, marijuana, heroin, and methamphetamine). Frey is also trained to track those who flee law enforcement, and those who may be at risk or lost (missing juveniles or elderly).

The Plymouth Police Department K-9 Program would like to extend a special thank you to Kettle Moraine Veterinary Clinic for their continued support in donating veterinary care and Christels Pet Supplies for donating all of K-9 Frey's dog food.
